P&F 2006 Campaign News Coverage

From the 16 April 2006 Woodland Daily Democrat, original version no longer available there:

Political Briefs

The Latino Community Council will host a candidate forum for the District 3 Supervisor candidates along with District Attorney candidates. The forum will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 24, 2006 in the conference room of the Department of Employment and Social Services Building at 25 North Cottonwood St. Candidates will answer questions posed by committee members and will take questions from audience members. For more information contact Jesse Ortiz at 908-1000.

Phil Dynan, Corning resident and candidate for State Assembly, 2nd District, will begin his 275-mile "Run for Office" in Woodland on Tuesday, April 18. The candidate is a veteran of more than 50 marathons, a factor which may help him in his "Run for Office," which covers mileage from Yolo to Modoc county. He will be running in a different town or city each day for about six weeks. "I hope to meet people along the way, speaking with them about their concerns, listen, and answer questions that they may have," Dynan says. His Woodland run will end at 1 p.m. in front of The Daily Democrat office at 711 Main St. He will be available for questions at that time. Presumably, if the current weather pattern continues, Dynan will be running with scuba gear. The candidate is running for office as a representative of the Peace and Freedom Party.
