June 6th P&F Results in Tehama CountyLocal CandidatesState SenateThere are no Peace and Freedom Party candidates for State Senate in Tehama County. U.S. House of RepresentativesThere are no Peace and Freedom Party candidates for U.S. House of Representatives in Tehama County. State AssemblyPhil Dynan of Corning is running for state Assembly in the 2nd Assembly District, which includes all of Tehama County, as well as all of Siskiyou, Modoc, Shasta, Glenn, Colusa and Sutter counties, most of the area of Yolo County (though less than 10% of that county's population), and the western portion of Butte County. He received 21 votes in Tehama County, of 64 in the entire district. Local Non-partisan OfficesThe webmaster is not aware of any endorsements by the Tehama County Peace and Freedom Party organization of any candidates for local non-partisan offices which were voted on in the June 6th primary election. Peace and Freedom Party Central CommitteesNo members of the Peace and Freedom Party Central Committees were elected from Tehama County in 2004, and the webmaster is not aware of any candidates only for Central Committees from the county who ran in the June 2006 primary election, though Phil Dynan became a member of the Central Committees when he was nominated for Assembly. Local MeasuresThe webmaster is not aware of any positions taken by the Tehama County Peace and Freedom Party organization on any county, municipal or regional measures that were on the ballot June 6th in Tehama County. Regional CandidateRichard Perry is running for Board of Equalization in the 2nd Board of Equalization District, which includes all of Tehama County. He received 18 votes in Tehama County, of 866 in the entire district. Statewide CandidatesThe slate of Peace and Freedom Party candidates for statewide partisan public offices are:
The Peace and Freedom Party also recommended a vote for Sarah Knopp for Superintendent of Public Instruction. She is a teacher and a socialist, though not a P&F member, who came in second of five candidates with 695,372 votes (17.3%) statewide for this nominally non-partisan position. In Tehama County, she got 1,828 votes (16.2%). Statewide MeasuresThere were two propositions on the statewide ballot June 6th, assigned proposition numbers 81 and 82. At its April 1st-2nd State Central Committee meeting, the Peace and Freedom Party took a position on one of measures.
