June 6th P&F Results in Calaveras CountyLocal CandidatesState SenateThere are no Peace and Freedom Party candidates for State Senate in Calaveras County. U.S. House of RepresentativesThe name of Mike Roskey of Sacramento County appeared on the ballot as a P&F candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in the 3rd Congressional District, which includes all of Calaveras County, as well as Alpine and Amador counties, the northern and eastern portions of Solano County, and much of Sacramento County. He received 11 votes in Calaveras County, of 83 in the entire district. State AssemblyThere are no Peace and Freedom Party candidates for State Assembly in Calaveras County. Local Non-partisan OfficesThe webmaster is not aware of any endorsements by the Calaveras County Peace and Freedom Party organization of any candidates for local non-partisan offices which were voted on in the June 6th primary election. Peace and Freedom Party Central CommitteesNo members of the Peace and Freedom Party Central Committees were elected from Calaveras County in 2004, and the webmaster is not aware of any candidates for Central Committees from the county who ran in the June 2006 primary election. Local MeasuresThe webmaster is not aware of any positions taken by the Calaveras County Peace and Freedom Party organization on any county, municipal or regional measures that were on the ballot June 6th in Calaveras County. Regional CandidateRichard Perry is running for Board of Equalization in the 2nd Board of Equalization District, which includes all of Calaveras County. He received 12 votes in Calaveras County, of 866 in the entire district. Statewide CandidatesThe slate of Peace and Freedom Party candidates for statewide partisan public offices are:
The Peace and Freedom Party also recommended a vote for Sarah Knopp for Superintendent of Public Instruction. She is a teacher and a socialist, though not a P&F member, who came in second of five candidates with 695,372 votes (17.3%) statewide for this nominally non-partisan position. In Calaveras County, she got 1,755 votes (18.2%). Statewide MeasuresThere were two propositions on the statewide ballot June 6th, assigned proposition numbers 81 and 82. At its April 1st-2nd State Central Committee meeting, the Peace and Freedom Party took a position on one of measures.
